Christoph Kerner is a Senior R&D Engineer and Electrical Characterization Researcher at imec since October 2011, specializing in the characterization and integration of CMOS technologies, high power devices, and specialty optical/visual sensors and detectors. Prior to this role, Christoph served as a Test/Characterization Engineer at IMEC Leuven from November 2004 to August 2011. In June 1998, a student appointment at JET involved developing control algorithms for gas flow monitoring and control in a fusion reactor. Christoph holds a PhD in Applied Physics from KU Leuven, awarded in 2004 for a thesis on solid-state quantum bits, and a Master’s degree in Physics with computational physics from the University of Sussex (1995-1999). The educational journey began at the European School Culham, where Christoph attained the European Baccalaureate.
