Staff R&d Engineer ► Reactive Flow Systems at Gamma Technologies

Lalit Patidar has a diverse range of work experience in engineering and research. Lalit is currently serving as a Senior Engineer in Reactive Flow Systems at Gamma Technologies, LLC since February 2020. Before that, Lalit worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in CFD at Penn State University from August 2015 to February 2020. During this role, they focused on investigating thermal decomposition and combustion behavior of energetic materials and published several papers and presentations.

In 2014, Lalit worked as a Graduate Research Assistant in Combustion, Propulsion, and CFD at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Here, they developed a lab-scale rocket propulsion research facility and conducted modeling of turbulent spray combustion.

Prior to that, Lalit held various positions at IIT Bombay Racing, including Project Manager from July 2013 to July 2014, Design Engineer from July 2012 to June 2013, and Junior Design Engineer from July 2011 to June 2012. At Tata Power Solar Systems Limited, Lalit worked as a Design Engineer in the product development team, where they utilized computer-aided engineering skills to design solar-powered products and collaborated with multi-functional teams on Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) reports.

Additionally, Lalit gained experience as a Visiting Research Student at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Cranfield University in 2012. Overall, Lalit Patidar has a strong background in engineering and research, with expertise in areas such as reactive flow systems, CFD, energetic materials, combustion, propulsion, and design engineering.

Lalit Patidar has a strong educational background in the field of Mechanical Engineering. From 2010 to 2015, they attended the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where they obtained both a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) and a Master of Technology (M.Tech.). Following this, from 2015 to 2019, Lalit pursued further academic advancement at Penn State University, where they successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering.

In addition to their formal education, Lalit has also obtained additional certifications. In March 2023, they completed a course titled "Next Generation AI: An Intro to GPT-3" offered by LinkedIn. Lalit also completed a course titled "Introduction to ESG: Environmental, Social, and Governance" from LinkedIn in December 2022.
