Eli De Poorter

Professor

Eli De Poorter is a professor at Ghent University and imec, currently teaching courses on the Internet of Things, Computer and Network Security, and thesis supervision. They coordinate a research team focused on wireless communication technologies and have over 200 publications in international journals and conferences. Eli co-founded the spin-off company Lopos, which develops privacy-aware UWB wearables, and has extensive experience in applied research through collaborations with industry partners. Previously, they served as a postdoctoral researcher and completed a PhD, where they focused on adaptive protocol stacks for wireless sensor networks.
