Rocco Stirparo

Rocco Stirparo currently serves as a Venture Development Manager at imec since February 2022. Prior to this role, Rocco was a Biotech Venture Fellow at Global Founders Capital for a brief period in late 2021 and spent nearly a decade at VIB, where Rocco acted as an Entrepreneur in Residence and led a project on DNA data storage, among other responsibilities. Rocco's academic background includes a Master's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, both obtained from Università di Pisa, where Rocco graduated with top honors. Additionally, Rocco contributed to the organizing committee of the VIBes in Bioscience PhD conference, promoting collaboration among young scientists globally.
