Sebastian Lam

Sebastian Lam is an experienced engineer currently serving as a Research and Development Engineer at imec since October 2024. Prior to this role, Sebastian worked at Agile Analog as a Staff Digital Physical Design Engineer, where responsibilities included creating a process-agnostic, fully-automated digital physical design and sign-off flow for mixed-signal IPs and implementing an always-on IP subsystem for low power SoC operation. Sebastian's career also includes positions as a Physical Design Engineer at SatixFy Space Systems UK Ltd., developing Rad-Hard design techniques for satellite chips, and previous roles at Credo and JSAB Technologies Limited focusing on high-speed SerDes IP physical implementation and BLDC motor driver IC development, respectively. Earlier in the career, Sebastian was a Process Engineer at ASM Pacific Technology Ltd., optimizing machine testing and development processes. Education includes a Master of Science in IC Design Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from City University of Hong Kong.
