Steven Latré

Vice President AI & Algorithms - Fellow at imec

Steven Latré started their work experience in 2006 as a PhD student at Ghent University - iMinds. Steven then worked as a post-doctoral researcher from 2011 to 2013 at the same institution. In 2013, they became an assistant professor at Ghent University - iMinds until 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they held the position of associate professor at Universiteit Antwerpen. Steven then became a professor at the same institution from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they are a full professor at Universiteit Antwerpen. Additionally, since 2013, Steven has been working at imec, where they started as an assistant professor until 2018. Steven then became a director until 2022. Presently, they hold the roles of Fellow AI and VP R&D Machine Learning and AI - Fellow at imec. In these positions, they are responsible for imec's activities in the field of artificial intelligence, including AI for datacenters, health applications, and edge environments.

From 2002 to 2006, Steven Latré attended Ghent University where they earned a Magna Cum Laude degree in Computer Science with a focus on Software Engineering.
