Thijs Besseling is a multidisciplinary researcher and project leader currently serving as a Principal Scientist at imec and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Utrecht University. Thijs holds a PhD in experimental physics, achieved cum laude from Utrecht University, and a BSc in innovation management. With specialized expertise in advanced materials and nanotechnology, Thijs leads multidisciplinary R&D teams focused on solving complex problems and developing novel product prototypes. Research interests include thin-film optics, polymer structure-property relations, and colloidal dynamics, among others.
