Michael Nisbett

Mentor (volunteer)

Michael Nisbett is a highly dedicated professional with extensive experience in mentoring and support services. Since December 2013, Michael has served as a volunteer mentor with iMentor, focusing on empowering high school students in low-income communities. Additionally, Michael volunteers at The Children's Village, providing one-on-one mentorship to at-risk youth. As a certified foster parent with the Westchester County Department of Social Services, Michael has completed the MAPP training program to effectively support children in need. Michael holds managerial responsibilities at Hunter College's Technology Resource Center and actively participates in several initiatives, including the Black Male Initiative Steering Committee and the Liberty Partnership Program, both aimed at supporting at-risk students. Prior volunteer experience includes mentoring at Abbott House from 2004 to 2010. Michael earned a BS in Computer Science from City University of New York-Hunter College and holds an accounting degree from Bronx Community College.
