Saied Kochesfahani

Saied Kochesfahani is a seasoned professional in polymer application development with over 22 years of experience in R&D and project management within the plastics and rubber industries. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Imerys since August 2011, Saied specializes in polymer research integrating minerals and additives across various materials and employs a stage/gate development platform for project management. Previous roles include Polymer Development Lab Manager and Development Manager at Imerys, where responsibilities encompassed managing state-of-the-art labs, leading product development, and customer support. Prior to Imerys, Saied held positions at Rio Tinto, focusing on polymers and flame retardant applications, and at U.S. Borax, where innovation in auto-causticizing technology was emphasized. Educational credentials include a PhD and MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and two MS and BS degrees from Amirkabir University of Technology.
