Jorge Maza de Julián

Jorge Maza de Julián is a Senior Data Engineer at IMG ARENA since September 2021, focusing on innovative data projects and insights in sports using technologies such as Kafka, Spark, Scala, Python, Druid, and Kubernetes. Previously, Jorge served as a Big Data Developer at Santander UK from December 2018 to September 2021, where responsibilities included Kafka and Spark ingestions and processing in Java and Scala for data lake connectivity. Jorge's earlier experience includes roles as a Data Developer at TMC Spain, where ETL development and data lake integration with SAP and Salesforce were key functions, and as a Full Stack Developer at Indra, contributing to international e-commerce airline projects with a range of technologies. Jorge began a career in software development as an intern at the Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial, accompanied by a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad de Alcalá and a Master's Degree in Big Data and Business Analytics from CIFF Business School. Additionally, advanced English language skills were acquired through courses at the British Council.
