IMI STI
Since our foundation in 1960, we focused on development, design and production of complete actuation systems to operate different products (valves, dampers, fan inlet drives and other devices etc.) for the most demanding applications and processes. Those applications assessed in terms of forces, speed, accuracy or a combination of these demands. This requires not just the ‘muscle’ (the actuator, linear or quarter turn) but also the ‘brain’ (the positioners and other components, which control the motion following an inlet signal). Our goal is to meet every customer’s specific need – as a result, we specialize in customized products. In 2002 we were acquired by IMI plc, an international engineering group and therefore was able to expand our presence globally. Now IMI STI is part of IMI Critical Engineering, one of the three IMI’s business platforms. The IMI Group shares a common goal - to convert their industry knowledge and market insight into bespoke, design-engineered solutions which create customer advantage and value. Therefore our original business approach has not changed.
