Alex is an information management officer based in South Sudan. He is responsible for supporting the multiple emergencies ongoing in the country with a focus in the Public Health Information Systems (PHIS). He further supports OCHA to ensure that the HNO and HRP data needs are met.
Alex has extensive experience working with GIS. Prior to joining iMMAP, he worked with MSI as a senior data analyst and a GIS specialist for 3 years. Prior to that, he was with Wildlife Conservation Society as an ecological research and GIS assistant for two years. He also worked with UNHCR as a short-term data clerk.
Alex holds a Master´s Degree in Environmental Engineering from Akdeniz University, Turkey and a Bachelor´s Degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies from the University of Juba, South Sudan. He is fluent in English, Arabic, Dari and Turkish.
