Meghanne Downes

Meghanne Downes is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in law and compliance within the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Vice President - Law and Compliance at Immedica Pharma AB since February 2025, Meghanne previously held the role of Deputy Chief Compliance Officer for Amgen's Rare Disease Business Unit following its acquisition of Horizon in October 2023. At Horizon, from March 2015 to October 2023, Meghanne advanced from Deputy Chief Compliance Officer to Associate General Counsel, where responsibilities included advising executive teams on legal and strategic matters, managing M&A transactions, and drafting a range of agreements. Earlier experience includes positions at Baker & McKenzie and a secondment as Counsel at UCB, where Meghanne provided legal support across various sectors. Meghanne holds a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Notre Dame.
