Senior Director Research Development at Immersion

Elizabeth Terris has a diverse work experience spanning several industries, with a focus on research and neuroscience. Elizabeth is currently working at Immersion Neuroscience as the Senior Director of Research Development. In this role, they are responsible for leading research and development efforts for a software platform that measures unconscious emotional responses. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Scientist at Immersion Neuroscience, where they contributed to the development of the Immersion algorithm.

Before joining Immersion Neuroscience, Elizabeth worked as a Research Associate at the Center for Neuroeconomics Studies from 2007 to 2021. Elizabeth also held the position of Research Scientist at ZESTxLabs, a research firm specializing in neuroscience applied to marketing and consumer behavior. At ZESTxLabs, they employed proprietary techniques to analyze consumer engagement and provide actionable insights.

Elizabeth's other experiences include an internship at Ipsos, where they worked at the Neuro and Behavioural Science Centre, and a position as a Research Scientist at Ofactor, Inc. Elizabeth also briefly worked as part of the Neuroscience Strategy team at INNOCEAN USA and served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Cal State Fullerton.

Elizabeth started their career as an Instructional Assistant in both the Salem-Keizer School District and the Lincoln County School District. Elizabeth also worked as a Question Writer at Worth Publishers.

Elizabeth Terris holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Applied Cognitive Sciences from Claremont Graduate University, which they obtained between the years 2010 and 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Cognitive Psychology and Evaluation from the same institution, between 2007 and 2009. Elizabeth'sundergraduate studies were pursued at Western Oregon University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from 2001 to 2005.
