Alyssa Herrera

Case Management Associate at Immigrant Defenders Law Center

Alyssa Herrera currently serves as a Case Management Associate and DYEP Associate at Immigrant Defenders Law Center since April 2021. Prior experience includes an internship at Access Community Center, where Alyssa translated for underrepresented communities in Linda Vista, and a semester internship at Kroc School at the University of San Diego, focusing on research related to human rights and organized crime in Mexico. Additionally, Alyssa worked as student staff at the Mulvaney Center, leading immersion trips to highlight the issues faced by undocumented communities and refugees. Alyssa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of San Diego and is pursuing further education at California State University, Los Angeles.

Our staff is comprised of attorneys and advocates from the immigrant rights community who collectively have decades of experience fighting for the rights of immigrants in Southern California and beyond.
