Marika Pettersson has worked in various laboratory roles since 2016. Marika started as a Laboratory Worker at Unilabs in 2016, where their work assignments included analysis of patient samples within the fields of clinical chemistry, coagulation and immunology as well as quick assays. In 2019, they became a Laboratory Worker at Akademiska sjukhuset, where their main assignment was analysis of blood coagulation tests and performance of daily and weekly maintenance as well as QC tests of the analyzing instrument. Later that same year, they became a Laboratory Engineer at A23 Lab AB, where their roles included DNA extraction, SNP genotyping using OpenArray technology, qPCR, ELISA, handling of plasma and whole blood samples, automated liquid handling robots, optimization and development, and processing of human whole blood and plasma samples for Stockholm3 diagnostics. In 2021, they began working as a Laboratory Engineer at Immuneed.
Marika Pettersson obtained a High School Diploma from Nyköpings Enskilda Gymnasium in 2014. Marika then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Biomedicine at Uppsala University, which they completed in 2017. Marika continued their studies at Uppsala University, earning a Master's degree in Biomedicine in 2019. In addition, Marika has obtained two certifications: Risk Management for Medical Devices and ISO 14971:2019 from Medical Device HQ in September 2021, and Laboratory Animal Science, FELASA Function A, B, C and D from the Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations in June 2017.
