Tara Weitz

Tara Weitz has extensive experience in the field of medical writing and scientific research, currently serving as Director of Medical Writing at ImmunityBio, Inc. since September 2017, where previous roles included Associate Director and Manager of Scientific Communications. Prior to this, Tara worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at both the University of Southern California and Cedars-Sinai, focusing on preclinical and translational research projects related to immune-based therapies for Alzheimer's disease, managing research efforts and authoring numerous publications. Academic training includes a PhD in Neuroscience from UCLA, a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University. Tara has a strong background in developing assays, educational materials, and bioinformatics tools throughout various research positions, contributing to impactful publications in the field.
