Erna Domsgen

Erna Domsgen, PhD, is the Chief Executive Officer at ImmunoIVD AB, leading teams in Stockholm to develop innovative assays for newborn screening for SCID and SMA. Previously, Erna worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Karolinska Institutet, focusing on type 1 diabetes research and collaborating internationally. With experience as a production manager and head of R&D at ImmunoIVD, Erna has played a pivotal role in product development and regulatory compliance in the IVD sector. Erna earned a PhD in Virology and Diabetology from the University of Bremen, where their research focused on the immune response in virus-infected human islets. Prior to their advanced studies, Erna completed a master’s degree in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, and Virology at the same institution.
