Dean Welsch

Dean Welsch, PhD has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Dean currently holds multiple roles at ImmunoMet Therapeutics, Inc., including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Scientific Officer, and SVP, Head of Research since 2020. Prior to their current position, they worked as a Pharma Translational Sciences Consultant at Pharma Translational Sciences Consulting from 2019 to 2020. From 2019 to 2019, they served as the VP Biology at Peloton Therapeutics. Dean was the Head of Pharmacology at BioMed Valley Discoveries from 2011 to 2019. Dean also has a notable background at Pfizer, where they held various positions such as Research Fellow, Senior Director of Discovery Biology, and Director of Discovery Biology from 2003 to 2011. Before joining Pfizer, they worked at US Pharmacia as a Science Fellow & Senior Research Advisor, leading research efforts in cardiovascular, arthritis, oncology, and ophthalmology areas. Dean began their career as a Research Scientist at US Pharmacia and later worked as a Senior Research Biochemist at Monsanto. Dean completed their post-doctoral training at Merck Sharp & Dohme.

Dean Welsch, PhD, completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Hope College from 1980 to 1984. Afterward, they pursued further education in Biochemistry and obtained their Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota between 1984 and 1988.
