Lu Alleruzzo

CEO & Co-Founder at Immunophotonics, Inc.

Lu Alleruzzo has a diverse range of work experience in the biotech and healthcare sectors. From 2009 to present, they have served as the CEO & Co-Founder of Immunophotonics Inc, a clinical-stage biotech company focused on developing novel treatments for solid tumor cancers. In this role, Lu has managed high-level relationships, built an executive team, and spoken at various industry conferences.

In 2020, Lu joined BioGenerator as an Entrepreneur In Residence, where they support and invests in promising start-up companies and entrepreneurs in the bioscience field. Lu also serves as an External Review Board Member for the Midwest Biomedical Accelerator Consortium (MBArC), reviewing and selecting academic scientist and project proposals for funding awards.

Additionally, Lu is involved with various organizations in the healthcare and cancer research sectors. Lu is a Board Member of the Missouri Biotechnology Association (MOBIO), an organization that champions life sciences in Missouri and Washington D.C. Lu is also a Cabinet Member of the American Cancer Society North Region Cabinet, supporting ACS efforts across multiple states.

Prior to their current roles, Lu held positions such as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society, House Director for Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, and Teaching Assistant at the University of Missouri. Lu also gained experience as a Market Analyst at Hewlett-Packard and World Wide Technology, and as a Velocity Business Intern at Cerner Corporation.

Lu Alleruzzo holds an MBA in Biological/Biomedical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Lu also obtained an MBA with an emphasis in Management from the same institution.
