Katy McNeill has over 25 years of experience in the fashion industry. Katy began their career in 1993 as an Associate Buyer at Neiman Marcus in Dallas, Texas, and graduated through their Executive Development training program. During their five years at Neiman Marcus, Katy held several positions, including Assistant Buyer of Designer Handbags, Department Manager in Women's Dresses, and Associate Buyer in Women's Suits and Petites. In 1997, they joined William Reid as the Director of Sales, and after three years in this role, Katy took on the role of Chief Operating Officer, where they oversaw all production, shipping, accounting, and day-to-day management of all logistics and finances. In 2004, they co-wrote the business plan and partnered to launch Billy Reid, a luxury designer lifestyle brand that manufacturers and produces its own products with thirteen retail stores, a robust e-commerce business and wholesale distribution in over 200 stores nationwide. Since its inception, Katy has served in the role of Chief Merchandising Officer and is responsible for the complete lifecycle of all products, including sampling, development, line plans, purchasing, merchandising, production and logistics, for both the men's and women's collections. In 2018, they partnered with KP McNeill and Carrie and Matt Eddmenson to launch imogene + willie, which designs and manufactures denim, tee shirts, and a men's and women's collection all made in the USA. They have a sewing facility in Los Angeles and work every day to create products made with integrity and quality.
Katy McNeill attended Texas A&M University from 1988 to 1992, where they received their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Marketing.
