Heather Golder is an experienced copy editor and self-defense instructor with a strong background in editing and proofreading across various industries. Currently serving as a Senior Copy Editor at Ubisoft since June 2013, Heather has also gained extensive experience as a Copy Editor at MRM Worldwide from 2007 to November 2013, and as a Proofreader and Copy Editor at Rosetta and amoeba music. Additionally, Heather has been a Self Defense Instructor at IMPACT Bay Area since 2009. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of California, Davis, and an Associate of Arts in the same field from American River College.

IMPACT Bay Area is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that teaches violence prevention programs like effective boundary setting, and empowerment self-defense. Our classes are trauma-informed and tailored to meet the needs of people of different ages, genders, and identities. We offer classes for communities most impacted by violence like women, girls, people of color, LGBTQ etc.
