Gorden Jemwa

Gorden Jemwa is an accomplished professional in data science and engineering, currently serving as Associate Director of Data Science at impact.com since February 2024. Previously, Gorden was the Head of Data at Luno from August 2016 to January 2024 and held the position of Data Scientist at JUMO.WORLD and TYME. Gorden began a career in remote monitoring and diagnostics as a Project Engineer at Automation & Controls from GE and contributed to research as a Senior Researcher and Post-doctoral Research Fellow at Stellenbosch University. Gorden's expertise originated in the mining sector with experience as a GL Metallurgist at Anglo American. Gorden holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and a Master's degree in Extractive Metallurgical Engineering from Stellenbosch University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe.
