Walter Piacsek

Walter is a co-founder and partner at Impact Delta, coming from a 30-year international career in private equity, management consulting and banking.
Immediately prior to Impact Delta, Walter was a Fellow at Harvard University’s Advanced Leadership Initiative, focusing on impact consulting and investing.
Walter was most recently a Managing Partner at global private equity firm Apax Partners for 6 years, having opened and led their Latin American operations for most of those years. He had previously been Chief Operating Officer and Co-Head of Wholesale Banking at Brazil’s second largest privately-held bank, Banco Votorantim, where he led their wealth management and commercial banking businesses.
Earlier in his career, Walter had spent 13 years doing strategy consulting at The Boston Consulting Group, in the US and Brazil, which he left when he was Managing Partner leading BCG’s Brazil operations. He began his career at Citibank’s corporate banking division.
Walter is a member of Harvard Business School’s Advisory Board and also holds or has held board positions at leading nonprofits in areas such as public education, impact consulting and child nutrition. He has a strong interest in how businesses and business skills can be best reimagined to create social impact in a profitable and scalable way.
He holds a BBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas, where he was valedictorian, and an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School.
