Software Engineer II at Impact Observatory

Erin Glennie has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Erin is currently working as a Software Engineer II at Impact Observatory since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer I at the same company from September 2021 to May 2022.

Before joining Impact Observatory, Erin worked at Science Systems and Applications, Inc (SSAI) in multiple roles. In 2016, Erin was a Summer Research Intern at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Erin received the Edna Bailey Sussman grant for their research on the relationship between ENSO indices, temperature, vegetation productivity, and corn yield in the US Corn Belt, focusing on the impact of El Nino and La Nina on agriculture.

Additionally, Erin has experience working as a GIS Intern at the City of Portland IT Department from June to August 2015. Erin collaborated with city departments to update and create maps for official and public use and developed a walking tour of Portland using ArcGIS StoryMaps. Erin also completed ten ArcGIS Virtual Campus courses.

Erin began their professional journey as a Public Policy Intern at Safe Kids Worldwide in September 2013. In this role, they researched and summarized children's safety policies, incidents, and contributed to organizing an event to promote awareness of safety policies among congressmen and agency leaders.

Erin Glennie completed their education in a chronological sequence. Erin obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geography, Urban Development, and Social Change from Clark University from 2011 to 2015. Erin then pursued a Washington Semester Program at American University in 2013.
