Matt Towner

Matt Towner is a seasoned professional in health equity and social impact, currently serving as Director of Programmes at Impact on Urban Health since June 2023. In this position, Towner leads initiatives focused on children's health, air pollution, mental health, and financial health. Towner previously held roles as Programme Director for Health Effects of Air Pollution at Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation, and Board Chair at SMASH App, where strategic pivots were made to enhance health outcomes for independent takeaways through AI. With a background in managing substantial partnerships and delivering impactful programmes, Towner's expertise extends to interim leadership at ShareAction and contributions to the British Nutrition Foundation as a scientific committee member. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Population and Development from LSE and a BA in History from UCL.
