Alihan Polat

Alihan Polat is an accomplished academic and professional in the fields of architecture and urban design. Currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of San Diego, Polat teaches courses focused on design, GIS, and senior research studios. Alongside academic roles at institutions such as the University of California San Diego and Pratt Institute, Polat founded Polat Planning and Consulting, as well as Studio M+, a design studio with innovative contributions to urban and product design. Furthermore, experience includes work as an Art Director at Impact Trial Consulting and curriculum development for GIS at the City University of New York. Polat holds advanced certifications and degrees from prestigious institutions, including an M.S. in Architecture and Urban Design from Pratt Institute and an ongoing Advanced Certificate in Applied Urban Science and Informatics from NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
