Leontien Hasselman - Plugge

Leontien Hasselman-Plugge has a diverse and extensive work history. Leontien began their career in 2003 with UNEP, where they were part of the United Nations Environmental Programme's Division of Technology, Industry, and Economics. In 2004, they joined the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), starting as an SME Program Coordinator and eventually progressing to Director of Network Relations. During their time at GRI, they held various managerial and directorial roles, including Deputy Director of Regional Network and Senior Manager of Network Relations.

In 2014, Hasselman-Plugge joined ImpactBuying B.V. as the Managing Director and later became the CEO, responsible for overseeing the company's operations. Leontien continued to excel in leadership positions, becoming the Co-CEO starting in January 2022.

Leontien Hasselman-Plugge also made significant contributions outside of their primary roles. In 2019, they initiated True-code.org, and in 2020, they became a Founding Partner of ImpactBuying BV.

Leontien Hasselman - Plugge has a diverse education history. In 1992-1998, they attended VCL and earned their Gymnasium degree. Following this, in 1998-1999, they pursued pre-med at Kent State University. Eventually, they graduated with a Master's degree in European Law from Utrecht University, where they studied from 1999 to 2005. In 2010, Leontien attended the Lead program, which focused on leadership for sustainable development. However, no specific degree was mentioned for this program.
