Mina Mekhail, Ph.D. is an accomplished scientist-entrepreneur with a diverse range of work experience. In 2017, they founded Impactful Health R&D (IHRD) and served as the CEO, successfully establishing the company and securing funding and patent protection for their proprietary technology. Mina has also been a renowned public speaker since 2018, sharing their insights and experiences as a scientist-entrepreneur with various organizations. In 2020, Mina worked as a Business Coach at District 3 Innovation, where they mentored graduate students in entrepreneurship and provided strategic guidance for their projects. Mina was also a part of the CDL-Atlantic, Oceans 2019/20 Cohort at Creative Destruction Lab from 2019 to 2020. Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, they worked as a Healthcare Innovation Consultant and Project Manager at Shriners Hospitals for Children - Canada, where they successfully established the Center of Excellence in Limb Lengthening, managing multiple projects and securing substantial funding. Before that, they held research and teaching positions at McGill University and Western University, where they contributed to scientific research and assisted in teaching students. Mina also founded Pioneers Tutoring in 2012 and served as a Founder, and they worked as a NexGen Fellow in Social Impact Consulting at Emzingo in 2014. Additionally, they worked briefly as a Management Consultant at Marang House in 2014. Throughout their career, Mina has showcased strong leadership skills, innovation, and a dedication to empowering aspiring entrepreneurs.

Mina Mekhail, Ph.D. has an extensive educational background in the field of biomedical engineering. Mina obtained their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Bioengineering from Dalhousie University, where they studied from 2001 to 2006. Following this, Mekhail pursued a Master of Engineering Science (MESc) degree in Biomedical Engineering at Western University, completing their studies in 2009.

Continuing their academic journey, Mekhail then pursued a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at McGill University from 2009 to 2014. During their time at McGill, they further specialized in the field.

In addition to their formal education, Mekhail has also obtained additional certifications to enhance their professional skills. Mina completed a Certificate in Responsible Leadership from Emzingo in August 2014. Furthermore, in September 2012, they obtained a certification in Basic Business Skills for Non-Business Graduate Students from McGill University, demonstrating their commitment to expanding their knowledge beyond their primary field of study.
