Mais Callan

Mais Callan is a seasoned professional in responsible investment and ESG integration, currently serving as Co-Founder of Impactive Tech since October 2022, focusing on tech solutions for responsible investment. Prior to this, Mais co-chaired the UK Investor Group for the 30% Club from January 2021 to October 2022, advocating for leadership diversity among companies. As Senior Responsible Investment Manager at NEST from December 2019 to October 2022, Mais played a key role in ensuring responsible investment practices for over 11 million members. Mais founded and managed Impactive Associates from March 2017 to September 2022, providing guidance on responsible investment strategies. Previously, Mais held the position of Associate Director of Responsible Investment at Hermes Investment Management from December 2005 to May 2015, where leadership in ESG strategy and investment stewardship was essential. Early career experiences include roles at Mutual Finance Ltd. and EDF. Mais holds an MA in Diplomatic Studies from the University of Westminster and a BA (Hons) in Economics, International Business, and French from the University of Surrey.
