Alexander Schabel

Alexander Schabel has had a diverse range of work experiences. Alexander is currently the Co-Founder & CEO of ImpactNexus, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to that, they were the Co-founder, Head of Sales & Business Development at ImpactNexus from January 2022 to May 2023. Alexander also previously worked as the Co-Founder & Partner at ImpactNexus from January 2021 to December 2021.

Before their time at ImpactNexus, Alexander was the Head of Sustainable Business Development and Senior Project Manager at Borderstep Institute for Innovation and Sustainability gGmbH from January 2017 to June 2022. Alexander'sresponsibilities included project acquisition and management in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship, the management of the startup platform StartGreen and the StartGreen Award, and the development of tools to evaluate the sustainability potential of startups.

Alexander also has experience as the General Manager at the Institute for Social and Sustainable Oikonomics (ISSO) from January 2015 to December 2016, and as the Business Development Social Entrepreneurship at bfu AG from May 2013 to December 2014. Additionally, Alexander worked as a Project Assistant at Carbon Disclosure Project from September 2012 to April 2013, and as a Business Development and Marketing Assistant at the German Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce from January 2012 to June 2012.

Furthermore, they gained experience as an Intern - Sustainability Coordination at BASF from September 2011 to December 2011, and as an Intern - Energy & Environment Division at ECORYS from March 2011 to July 2011. Alexander also served as a member of the organizing committee for the Study Trip Committee GBSM at RSM STAR from September 2010 to March 2011.

Alexander Schabel completed their Bachelor's degree in International Business at Maastricht University from 2005 to 2010. In 2009, they also attended the National Chengchi University for an exchange semester focused on Business Administration and Management. Later on, they pursued a Master's degree in Global Business & Stakeholder Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University from 2010 to 2011.
