Luyanda Xulu is an accomplished engineering executive with extensive experience in the mining sector, currently serving as Executive: Engineering at Implats since November 2021, responsible for the engineering function and asset management strategy. Previously, Luyanda held key roles at GOLD FIELDS as Head of Engineering, overseeing a deep-level gold production complex, and at De Beers Consolidated Mines as Senior Engineering Manager, managing engineering and environmental functions in an open-pit mine. Additional experience includes significant positions at Koidu Holdings S.A. as Senior Asset Manager and Chief Engineer, at AngloGold Ashanti as Engineering Manager, and at De Beers Group as Section Engineer.
