Michael Key began their career in 2013 as a Student Research Assistant at the Space Science and Engineering Center, where they were responsible for website maintenance, compilation of cryospheric terms glossary, written assessments of global cryospheric conditions and events. In 2014, they moved to Paradigm Gardens as an Assistant. In 2016, they took on the role of Research Assistant at the Colorado State University Center for Rhizosphere Biology. In 2015, they joined Synchronicity Wellness as the Director of Research and Development and Horticulturist, where they were involved in all aspects of medicinal cannabis (hemp) cultivation at the CBDRx Research and Development facility in Boulder, Colorado. Finally, in 2017, they became the Chief Executive Officer at Impello Biosciences.
Michael Key attended Middleton High School from 2008 to 2012, where they received their High School degree. Michael then attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse from 2012 to 2014, where they studied Microbiology, General. Lastly, they attended Colorado State University from 2014 to 2016, where they studied Horticulture, Floriculture.
