Raúl Aragonez has a diverse range of work experience. Raúl started their career as a Swimming Instructor at Aqua Slide in 2002 and later became a Swim Coach certified by the Federation Mexicana de Natación A.C. In 2002, they also started their own company called HARE - Entrepreneurial Endeavor, where they worked as an entrepreneur and developed an ERP software for CRONI.
In 2011, they worked as a Research Assistant at The University of Texas at El Paso on the NASA AMES project CASVU. Raúl then joined Sears in 2013 as a Senior Frontend Developer and later took on the role of Team Lead / Scrum Master, leading the front end development of an IoT hybrid application for smart home products.
From 2015 to 2020, Raúl worked at Wally as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Software Architect. During this time, they worked on an IoT project involving smart products and led a team of 17 people.
In 2018, they worked as a Contractor at Trifork and as a Community Manager at GOTO, a software development conference. In 2020, they joined Topl as a Senior Backend Engineer and eventually became the Director of Engineering | Infrastructure before becoming the Vice President of Engineering.
Most recently, Raúl Aragonez joined Imperative Global as the Head of Technology Engineering in 2023.
Raúl Aragonez obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Biology from El Paso Community College in 2008. Raúl then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at El Paso from 2008 to 2012. In 2022, they completed two certificate programs from Harvard Business School Online, one in Leadership Principles and another in Negotiation Mastery. In 2023, they also obtained a certificate in Strategy Execution from Harvard Business School Online. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in "Introduction to NFTs: Non-fungible Tokens" and "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers" from LinkedIn in 2021.
