Shakti Dookeran

Shakti Dookeran is an accomplished public health professional with extensive experience in population health and safety initiatives. Currently serving as Innovation Lead and Associate Director of the Patient Safety Collaborative at Imperial College Health Partners, Shakti Dookeran focuses on enhancing population health through data-driven partnerships and evidence-based interventions, achieving notable successes such as the prevention of cerebral palsy cases across multiple hospitals. Previous roles include Population Health Service Manager at Public Health England, where Shakti Dookeran led a national atrial fibrillation stroke prevention program, preventing thousands of strokes and generating significant cost savings. As a Public Health Strategist in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Shakti Dookeran championed health initiatives for BAME communities and contributed to the development of Primary Care Networks. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Health Policy from Imperial College London and an MSc in Public Health Nutrition from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
