Alessia Caramello is an accomplished researcher and academic with extensive experience in neuroscience and biotechnology. Currently serving as a Research Associate at the UK Dementia Research Institute since April 2021, Alessia investigates selective neuronal vulnerability in Alzheimer's Disease. Additionally, Alessia is an Early Career Researchers committee member at Imperial College London's Brain Sciences Department, coordinating seminars and social events. Previous roles include teaching fellow at Queen Mary University of London, post-doctoral research assistant at The Francis Crick Institute, and various teaching and research positions during academic training at UCL and other institutions. Alessia holds a PhD in Biosciences from UCL, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Molecular Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Torino.
