Michael Haig

Michael Haig currently serves as the Deputy Communications Director at Imperial College London, a position held since November 2022. Prior to this role, Michael worked at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office from September 2020 to November 2022 as the Deputy Director of Communications. Michael's extensive experience in communications also includes a long tenure at the Department for International Development (DFID) from December 2008 to September 2020, where various roles included Head of Strategic and Internal Communications, Acting Deputy Director of Strategic Communications, and Head of News and Press Secretary to the Secretary of State. Earlier in Michael's career, positions included Press Officer at Shelter UK and Sales Assistant at Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd. Michael is an alumnus of the University of Leicester.
