Periklis (Laki) Pantazis currently serves as the Chair of the Imperial College London and Leica Microsystems Imaging Hub and is a Reader in Advanced Optical Precision Imaging at Imperial College London, focusing on advanced bioimaging techniques and their applications in understanding development and disease progression. Additionally, Pantazis holds the position of Senior Lecturer at The Royal Society and is a Wolfson Merit Award Holder. Previously, Pantazis was an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) of Biosystems Analysis at ETH Zurich, conducting research in biosystems imaging, and a Postdoctoral Scholar at Caltech, where imaging tools for developmental biology were developed. Early career experience includes a role as a Board Member on the Customer Advisory Board at Deutsche Bahn AG, research consulting for ZEISS Microscopy, and completing a PhD at the Max Planck Institute and TU Dresden, where quantitative analysis of morphogenesis through imaging and in silico modeling was performed. Pantazis earned a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from Leibniz Universität Hannover.
