Yousuf Salmasi

Yousuf Salmasi serves as a Peri-CCT Trainee in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust since October 2024. Additionally, Yousuf has been a Postdoctoral Researcher and Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College London since August 2017, and an Executive Member of the London Aortic Mechanobiology research initiative since October 2019. Previous experience includes serving as a Cardiothoracic Registrar at Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals from August 2015 to October 2024 and at Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast from August 2016 to August 2017. Yousuf completed Core Surgical Training at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust from August 2013 to August 2015. Academic qualifications include a Doctorate in Cardiovascular Science from Imperial College London (2017-2020) and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the same institution (2005-2011).
