Werner Vermeulen

Werner Vermeulen has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the logistics and transportation industry. Werner began their career at Unitrans in 1991, where they worked as a Depot Manager and Project Manager for eight years. Werner then joined Cargo Carriers in 1999 as a Strategic Marketing Manager, a position they held until 2004. In 2004, they joined Transnet as a Business Development Director for the Freight Dynamics division, a role they held until 2008. Vermeulen then moved on to Grindrod in 2008, where they served as General Manager for Bulk Transport for one year. Finally, in 2009, they joined Imperial Logistics as the Business Development Director, a position they currently hold.

Werner Vermeulen attended Bellville High School from 1981 to 1985. After completing high school, they went on to pursue a B.Com Honnors in Transport Economics at Stellenbosch University, specializing in Economics, Transport Economics, and Marketing. This degree was obtained between 1986 and 1990.
