Nathan Warkentin

Nathan Warkentin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the RPAS Subject Matter Expert Chief Pilot at Imperial Oil since June 2010. In this role, Nathan oversees all RPAS operations across Canada, focusing on supply chain management. Nathan has also led projects related to autonomous BVLOS implementation and has held various positions such as Certified Drone Operator, Maintenance Planner, and Wellsite Supervisor, where responsibilities included onsite supervision of completion and workover activities across various well types. Prior to joining Imperial Oil, Nathan was the Downhole Tractor Manager at Halliburton, managing downhole tractor services in Western Canada and overseeing hiring and training of personnel. Nathan began their career at Baker Hughes as a Wireline Field Engineer, supervising field crews for cased hole wireline work and solving technical issues.
