Commercial Events Manager at Imperial War Museums

Chloe Turner has a diverse range of work experience in the museum and cultural sector. Chloe is currently working as a Commercial Events Manager at Imperial War Museums. Prior to this, they worked at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery Trust, where they held multiple roles including Event Manager, Front Of House Manager, and Visitor Services Assistant Manager.

Chloe also has experience working with non-profit organizations, such as Girl Museum Inc. and The Wiener Library for the Study of the Holocaust & Genocide. At Girl Museum Inc., they served as the Volunteer and Instagram Manager, coordinating the recruitment of new volunteers and managing the organization's Instagram page. At The Wiener Library, they worked as the Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator, managing a team of sixty volunteers and overseeing the volunteer program.

Furthermore, Chloe has been involved in various projects and initiatives within the museum industry. Chloe was a Teen Twitter Takeover Day Ambassador for Kids in Museums, where they reached out to museums and heritage networks to promote the event and ran the @takeoverday Twitter feed. Chloe also worked as a Visitor Services and Volunteer Coordinator at the Museum of Brands Packaging and Advertising, managing a team of volunteers and coordinating the volunteer program.

Prior to these roles, Chloe gained experience in visitor services and public engagement at institutions such as the Science Museum Group, Museum of Science and Industry, National Football Museum, and Manchester Jewish Museum.

Chloe Turner completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from The Manchester Metropolitan University from 2011 to 2014. Following that, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Museology/Museum Studies from the University of Leicester from 2015 to 2017.
