Austin Oursland

Austin Oursland is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in communication systems engineering, currently serving as a Staff Communication Systems Engineer at Impinj since June 2017. Oursland has contributed to the development of RAIN RFID readers and software, focusing on research and development of wireless modem features. Prior roles at Impinj included positions as a Senior Communication Systems Engineer and Communication Systems Engineer, where contributions included feasibility studies for retail RFID applications and leading systems verification on the Impinj R700 reader. Previous experience also includes technical support at Apple and leadership roles at the University of Washington. Oursland holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, where studies were completed in December 2023, as well as a Bachelor's degree in the same field obtained in 2018.
