Jonathan Morarity

Jonathan Morarity has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Jonathan started their career at Invensys/Foxboro as a Process Control Engineer, where they developed custom process control solutions and automated tasks. Jonathan then worked at Rockwell Automation as an Embedded Software Engineer, contributing to the design and implementation of industrial communications modules. Jonathan also served as a Technical Program Manager and Lead Project Engineer at Belcan Corporation, representing the company and providing technical expertise to clients in the aviation industry. Additionally, they worked at Wolverine Ventures, Inc. as a Transient Modeling Engineer, where they conducted modeling for a commercial turbofan engine. Jonathan later joined Meteorcomm as a Senior Firmware Engineer and FPGA Lead. At MicroVision Inc., Jonathan held multiple roles, including Senior Staff Electrical Engineer, Principal Systems Engineer, and Director of Product Engineering for Automotive LiDAR. In these positions, they led the development of innovative concepts, prototyped hardware, and designed system architectures. Currently, they are employed at Impinj as a Principal Software Engineer.

Jonathan Morarity earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. Jonathan further pursued their education at the University of Cincinnati and obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from 2005 to 2008. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including an Accelerated Computer Science Fundamentals Specialization, Object-Oriented Data Structures in C++, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Image and Video Processing, Linear and Integer Programming, Autonomous Navigation for Flying Robots, Control of Mobile Robots, and Machine Learning from institutions such as Coursera and edX.
