Nicholas McMillan

Nicholas McMillan is an experienced Embedded Firmware/Software Engineer currently at Impinj since October 2019, with a robust background in firmware design and electrical engineering. Previously, Nicholas worked as a Firmware Engineer at Human, Inc., where responsibilities included developing firmware architectures for consumer devices and Bluetooth communications. Nicholas has also held positions as an Electrical Engineering Contractor at Oculus VR Research, a DVE Contractor at Microsoft, and as an Electrical Engineer/Firmware Engineer at X2 Biosystems, focusing on low power designs and embedded systems. Earlier experiences include internships at HINTs Lab and the Center for Experimental Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics, contributing to robotic control and data analysis projects. Nicholas earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Washington and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the same institution, with additional coursework in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Seattle University.
