Christian Lassonde is a venture capitalist and entrepreneur. Christian is the managing partner of Impression Ventures, a venture capital firm they co-founded in 2014.
Lassonde has been involved in the Canadian startup ecosystem for over a decade. Christian started their career as the CEO of Claystone Inc, a social media company they founded in 2006. Christian then went on to co-found Millions of Us, an award-winning digital agency, in 2010. After selling Millions of Us to a publicly traded company in 2013, Lassonde turned their attention to venture capital.
In 2012, they joined The Next 36 as the Director of Ventures. In this role, they were responsible for advising startups on issues related to ideation, team conflict, business strategy, establishing customer relationships and securing funding. Christian left The Next 36 in 2014 to co-found Impression Ventures.
Lassonde is also an active angel investor and has served on the boards of Kira Talent, Finaeo and Sensibill.
Christian Lassonde has completed a Master's in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco, a BESC in Computer Engineering from The University of Western Ontario, and a BSC in Computer Science from Western University. Christian also attended Upper Canada College. In addition, they have been awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws from Ontario Tech University.
