Robin Šmíd has held various roles throughout their work experience. Robin began their career at Rolls-Royce as a Metrology (Measurement Systems) specialist, where they were responsible for procuring and installing equipment and training operators in Statistical Process Control. Robin then joined the University of Cambridge's Fluid Mechanics Research Group, where they focused on a project involving tidal flow in the Severn Estuary.
Following these experiences, Šmíd co-founded Cambridge Transport Solutions and later worked as a Strategy Consultant at Mars & Co. In 2016, they joined Improbable as Chief of Staff and subsequently held roles as VP Operations & Strategy and VP Finance & Operations. At Improbable, they were involved in leading operations, strategy, and finance.
Robin Šmíd studied at the University of Cambridge from 2009 to 2013, earning a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) MA (Cantab) degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
