Hamza Malik

Hamza Malik is an experienced engineer specializing in propulsion systems, currently serving as an Electric Propulsion Engineer at Impulse Space since May 2025. Previously, Hamza worked as a Senior Propulsion Engineer at Phase Four, leading the HET effort for the Valkyrie program. Early career experiences include roles as a Technical Intern at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, where involvement in R&D supported the goal of achieving net-positive fusion by 2025, and mechanical engineering co-op positions at GE Aviation and HRL Laboratories, focusing on commercial jet engine design and 3D printing technologies, respectively. Hamza began foundational engineering education at Montgomery High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University in 2022.
