Karen Borresen has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several roles and industries. Karen currently works as a Senior Product Marketing Specialist at Imricor since February 2020. Prior to that, they worked at D.R. Horton as a Marketing Coordinator from May 2018 to February 2020, where they supported the Minnesota sales team and collaborated with senior leadership to create marketing plans.
Before D.R. Horton, Karen worked as an Event and Marketing Director at Chankaska Creek Ranch & Winery from April 2015 to April 2018. In this role, they researched and developed new business development strategies, managed various events, and orchestrated internal events to generate increased revenue and brand awareness.
From January 2013 to April 2015, Karen served as the Director of Business Development and Marketing at Thrivent Financial, where they initiated contacts with business and community leaders, partnered with non-profit organizations, and planned and hosted various promotional events.
Karen's earlier experience includes working as the Director of Volunteers and Marketing at The Lutheran Home Association, where they developed and implemented a Volunteer Program and served as a community spokeswoman. Karen also worked as a Community Outreach Coordinator at the Southern Valley Alliance for Battered Women, where they led outreach initiatives and trained volunteer teams.
Additionally, Karen has experience in the pet grooming industry, having worked as a Pet Groomer at Mendakota Animal Hospital from September 2006 to June 2011 and as a Grooming Salon Manager at PETCO from June 1994 to September 2006. In these roles, they built and managed grooming operations, provided quality grooming services, and managed staff and inventory.
Karen Borresen obtained their Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree from Normandale Community College, which they attended from 1996 to 1999. From 1999 to 2002, they pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Corrections at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
