Lisa Martin

Lisa Martin is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in international media. Currently serving as an Overnight World Desk Sub Editor at Australian Associated Press since June 2024, Martin also works as a Freelance Writer and International Media Support Consultant. Previous roles include journalist for the International Paralympic Committee, president of the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand, and Southeast Asia Correspondent for AFP. Martin has covered significant events such as the pro-democracy protests in Thailand and the Myanmar military coup. Notable achievements include being a finalist for the prestigious Walkley Awards for an investigative piece on immigration, demonstrating a strong commitment to impactful journalism. Martin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from RMIT University and additional education from the University of New England.
